Hi everyone! I'm Ken, and my journey with Long View Wealth Management, LLC began shortly after graduating from the University of Connecticut. Seeking a global perspective, I spent two years teaching English to children in South Korea. Following this, I proudly served in the United States Navy, where I had the opportunity to visit countries like Spain, Greece, and Turkey. After fulfilling my military obligations, I returned to Connecticut to continue working with my step-father, Tom Hardecker, at Long View Wealth Management, LLC.
In January 2022, Tom joined the ranks of retirement and handed the Long View keys off to me, entrusting me with the responsibility of leading Long View into its next chapter. I take this role seriously, honoring Tom's legacy by treating our clients and team members with the same respect and dedication he exemplified throughout his career.
With a background in education, I emphasize the importance of financial literacy, particularly regarding how healthcare and taxes can affect your retirement. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, I collaborate with clients to develop personalized financial plans that empower them to take control of their financial futures. I have the heart of a teacher and focus a great deal on making sure you understand how and why we are on the financial course that you have chosen.
I am a registered representative and investment advisor representative with LPL Financial, holding industry registrations including FINRA Series 7 and NASAA Series 66 through LPL Financial. Additionally, I hold my CFP® designation and I am a licensed Health and Life Insurance Agent. I also participate in the financial community by being a member of the Financial Planning Association of Connecticut.
After I returned home from the military, I became an active member of the American Legion, supporting veterans and strengthening our local community. Outside of work, my wife, Christen, and I share a passion for exploring the world and discovering new geography. We reside in Manchester, CT, with our daughter Olivia and our beloved rescue dog, Honey.
